Structure
The Chamber of Commerce of Gipuzkoa, founded in 1886, is a public corporation, which represents, promotes and defends the general interests of companies in the region. It also acts as a consultative and collaborative body with public administrations.
The corporation is governed by the Plenary Session and the Executive Committee.
The Plenary Session is the Chamber's supreme organ of government and representation. It is formed by 40 members, elected every four years (from among all Chamber voters classified by groups and categories), representing the different economic sectors. This board appoints the Executive Committee, formed by 8 members) and the Chairman.
The Chairman is the institutions top representative.
